The Zena is a popular woman’s BCD made by Zeagle, which is designed for comfort and balance. What’s different about the Zeagle Zena is the front of the BCD has two small woven panels which zip together as opposed to jacket style BCDs which have a buckle over the chest and a velcro cummerbund and buckle over the waist.
The front and back panels of the Zena connect with twin straps allowing you to adjust the fit independently. The front of the BCD has a zipper for a snug fit and the two straps allow for the waist size, chest size, and torso length to be independently fitted. And now only are these panels comfortable they can also be customized to fit the taste of every diver.
The Zena is designed also takes into account buoyancy and is built to be fitted with the upper waistband at the natural waist, placing the weights and buoyancy low, around the body’s center of buoyancy.
The Zena weight pockets also come with a neat ripcord release system so you don’t need to worry about losing or forgetting your weight pockets. All your weight can go directly in your pockets and in the case of an emergency you just pull the tabs and a thick white bungee cord which is threaded through the bottom of the pocket gives way.
The Zena is designed specifically for women and accommodates for curves, a shorter torso and lower center of buoyancy compared to men. The Zena is lightweight and travel-friendly coming in a 6.2lb when dry.
