Porto Relaunches Free Certified Diving Course — Registration Opens April 23

The popular “Diving for All” program is making a return to the city of Porto, offering residents the chance to enroll in a free and certified diving course. Organized by the Porto City Council, the new edition will take place from April 28 to May 20 at the Engenheiro Armando Pimentel Municipal Pool and is scheduled during evening hours to accommodate working participants.

Registration opens on April 23 at 10:00 AM, with only eight spots available. The course is open to Porto residents aged 15 and older. To enroll, participants must provide proof of tax residency in the city.

The program includes 12 sessions, which are divided into five practical lessons and four theory-based classes, along with a final exam. All sessions will run from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Upon completion, participants are expected to be capable of diving independently and safely in a swimming pool or other confined water environments.

Certification is provided by Submania Diving School, an official partner of Scuba Schools International (SSI), the world’s leading diving education organization. SSI operates through more than 3,500 centers and has over 10,000 certified professionals across more than 150 countries.
