The wait is over! Last year at DEMA we spotted this stellar AquaFlex wetsuit and had been patiently waiting its arrival ever since. The galaxy print is being offered in the women’s AquaFlex wetsuit as well as a line men’s and women’s rashguards.
At the moment it appears the newest addition in only available at authorized Aqua Lung retailers across the USA and Canada. However, like a galaxy, we are sure this far out design will quickly circle the globe.
Each galaxy wetsuit features a one of a kind, slice of space. During fabrication, a large roll of nylon is printed with a random galaxy pattern. Smaller panels are cut from the nylon roll and assembled into the final product.
The panels are glued and blind-stitched together, and a rubber coating covers the seams preventing them from unraveling. The protective rubber layer above the seams also stops water from seeping into the suit keeping you warmer underwater.
If you’re just getting into scuba diving, or have been diving for years but have never owned your own gear, a personal wetsuit is a worthy investment. And, if you take proper care of your wetsuit it should last for hundreds of dives.
The AquaFlex Galaxy wetsuit comes in three different thicknesses (3mm, 5mm, 7mm). Price starting at US$329.00 for the 3mm suit.
For guys looking to cover up with a galaxy rashguard, Aqua Lung is offering a blue and green print in both a long and short sleeves. Ladies can also pick up a purple or blue rashguard in short or long sleeve. There is even a zipper version in ladies blue.
